-lxc requires this directory to be present
-this patch is a workaround for the issue, plan is to
submit a patch upstream to fix this and see what
feedback we receive

-to get vlan working with the FSL SDK we need to
remove the hwaddr. This was found by trial and
error. Upstream discussion is started as to
when the hwaddr might be needed, but for now remove it

-the dhcp which is started by default in a container
causes our default examples various issues..including
vlans not working right, and screwing up host
network interfaces if networking isn't virtualized
-we do not know yet what the right upstream fix
is for this with more testing and characterization
needed
