The project has a proper pyproject.toml which declares the setuptools.build.meta PEP-517 backend.
Fix:
WARNING: python3-service-identity-21.1.0-r0 do_check_backend: QA Issue: inherits setuptools3 but has pyproject.toml with setuptools.build_meta, use the correct class [pep517-backend]

to 0.10.1.

The commit b93b4067ea "Fix x509 tests by using trustme" of
python3-requests-toolbelt introduces the trustme in test_x509_adapter.py.
Introducing python3-trustme to fix ptest error of python3-requests-toolbelt,
also introducing python3-service-identity, which is requested by python3-trustme's
ptest.
The ptest passes of all the three packages.
