* buildperf: Tweak tooltip positioning for usabilityRichard Purdie2025-03-281-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | The tooltop contains a key hyperlink to make the graphs usable. Make it easier to click on the link by removing the space between the data point and the tooltip. * buildperf: Avoid step usage in performance line graphsRichard Purdie2025-03-281-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | When using steps in the line chart, you have to look long and hard to understand if the data is the lower or upper point on the step. Whilst not as pretty, the sloped line charts are more accurate so switch to those as the transition points are important and the main reason for the charts. * scripts/buildperf: Add chart tabs for commit count/timeNinette Adhikari2025-02-092-23/+156
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We triggered a test of an older revision to narrow down when performance changed. The issue is that git's timestamps are granular to 1s. We'll usually merge a set of commits at the same time so they will all have the same timestamp for a block of them. This means that even if we use the commit date, all the points can't be distinguished on the graph. The author date doesn't work either as the commits are not merged in author date order. To solve this this patch adds the commit_count chart as a separate tab next to the start_time chart (From OE-Core rev: b263edd33f6c895238d81ef148c0445fcd0aa268) Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

* meta/lib+scripts: Convert to SPDX license headersRichard Purdie2019-05-093-24/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This adds SPDX license headers in place of the wide assortment of things currently in our script headers. We default to GPL-2.0-only except for the oeqa code where it was clearly submitted and marked as MIT on the most part or some scripts which had the "or later" GPL versioning. The patch also drops other obsolete bits of file headers where they were encoountered such as editor modelines, obsolete maintainer information or the phrase "All rights reserved" which is now obsolete and not required in copyright headers (in this case its actually confusing for licensing as all rights were not reserved). More work is needed for OE-Core but this takes care of the bulk of the scripts and meta/lib directories. The top level LICENSE files are tweaked to match the new structure and the SPDX naming. * scripts/oe-build-perf-report: fix 'charts ready' console messageMarkus Lehtonen2017-04-052-7/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The javascript console log messages are used in scraping, when converting an html test report to html email. Before this patch a console message indicating that all charts have been drawn was not correctly sent if the last test failed (or didn't have chart data for some other reason) which, in turn, caused oe-build-perf-report-email.py script to fail with a timeout. * scripts: add oe-build-perf-report scriptMarkus Lehtonen2017-04-015-0/+651
A new tool for pretty-printing build perf test results stored in a Git repository. The scripts is able to produce either simple plaintext report showing the difference between two commits, or, an html report that also displays trendcharts of the test results. The script uses Jinja2 templates for generating HTML reports so it requires python3-jinja2 to be installed on the system.
